Three Powerful Stretches to Relieve Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain can be challenging, affecting everything from your daily movements to your quality of life. Luckily, incorporating a few effective stretches into your routine can make a big difference. Here are three stretches designed to alleviate lower back tension and promote flexibility.

Let’s dive into these gentle yet powerful moves that can help you say goodbye to lower back pain!

  1. Child’s Pose
This yoga-inspired stretch gently elongates your spine, releasing tension in the lower back. Begin on all fours, then sink your hips back toward your heels while stretching your arms forward. Hold for 20–30 seconds and breathe deeply
  2. Cat-Cow Stretch
A great mobility exercise for the spine. Start on your hands and knees, alternate between arching your back (Cow Pose) and rounding it (Cat Pose). Repeat 6–8 times, moving slowly with your breath
  3. Lumbar Crook Lying Rotations
Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Slowly lower both knees to one side, keeping your shoulders relaxed and in contact with the floor. Hold for 10–15 seconds, then bring your knees back to the centre and repeat on the other side

These three stretches are highly effective for relieving lower back pain. Try incorporating them into your daily routine to reduce stiffness, improve flexibility, and keep your lower back feeling relaxed and strong.

Remember, consistency is key! Taking just a few minutes to stretch each day can make a lasting difference in managing lower back pain and supporting your overall mobility.
