Women's Physio Camberwell
Women's Physiotherapy
There is a large array of conditions that we are able to diagnose and treat at our Women's Physio Camberwell office. It can be difficult at times to know when it is appropriate to visit your physiotherapist or even what type of physiotherapist you should be seeing. There are a number of conditions that affect men and women equally, there are certain conditions that are specific to women and the varying changes that occur throughout the lifespan.
These can be unique and sometimes complex conditions that women experience whether it is pre or post natal, or the natural challenges that occur as we age. Our female physiotherapists take pride in respecting the sometimes private nature and intimacy of these conditions and therefore treat all of our wonderful Camberwell and surrounding clients with the utmost respect.
Pregnancy and Postpartum
Throughout pregnancy, the body goes through myriad of changes. Some of the issues that our specifically trained physiotherapists can help you with include, but are not limited to:
- Pregnancy related pelvic pain
- Pregnancy related back or neck pain
- Pre and post natal care, advice and education
- Hip pain
- Carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist pain)
- Abdominal separation (DRAM)
- Pelvic floor weakness, incontinence and pelvic floor muscle retraining
- Safe return to exercise after giving birth
- Safe exercise throughout pregnancy

It is common for women post birth to experience urinary incontinence at some stage during their lifetime. Whilst many women believe this is a normal part of being a woman, it is never to early or late to seek help to improve these symptoms. Importantly, incontinence is a very changeable condition!
