About our Yoga
Yoga is a great tool for improving flexibility, facilitating core strength and not just standing on your head or wrapping yourself up like a ball (although if that's your goal, we're here to work with you to achieve it). Yoga is a great way to clear your mind, empty your thoughts and work on mindfulness.
Yoga is different things to different people. But one great feature of this life-changing practice is that it suits all ages and abilities.

At Instinct Health, we practice Purna yoga. Purna translates into “complete” from transcript and you will be guided through a practice that encompasses your entire body. This style of yoga is suitable for all experience types, from beginners to advanced yoga participants. Our Yoga classes run for 60 minutes and during the practice you will have the opportunity to improve flexibility, practice mindfulness and improve body awareness and postural alignment.

New to Yoga at instinct?
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself - all of your mats, bolsters, blocks and straps are provided. Bring a bottle of water with you if you'd like and enjoy!
What to wear
Whatever you feel comfortable to move in! Tights or shorts are common in our classes, and a top you feel you can relax and move freely with.
Do I need to have done yoga before?
Absolutely not! Our teachers cater for all levels of experience and will modify the postures according to YOUR abilities and needs.
What do I do when I get there
Once you walk through our doors, you'll find yourself in our waiting room. If it's your first time at Instinct, grab a clipboard and a pen from the shelf and fill in some basic personal information. One of our clinicians will greet you as soon as possible.
We do ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your initial consultation to fill in some further information to start working towards your health goals.
